"My Better Half" Tag

A Tag from In-In and Sarah (Thanks mga Sis, sorry kung delayed ha)

This tag is simple. If you feel comfortable and your better half does too, you can post a picture of him in your blog ( but if not a description will do). May it be a baby picture anything that you like with the following:

Questions:

1. First name: if he doesn't like his name plastered all over the internet, a pet name will do.

2. How and where did you meet?

3. Characteristics

4. Your plans 20 to 30 years from now.

Answers:

1. His first name is Jackie, same as his Dad's first name. Everybody calls him Shaun. When he was young they use to call him "Shaun Aunry". Now, I always call him "B" as in "Be" - - - short cut for Ba-"BY" (baby)... he-he.

2. (Wow this reminds me the "Meeting Category" in ASAWA.ORG Forum, ha-ha. Okay, I'll put it in detail, am so kilig, hihihi)

We met each other at Sykes Cebu (Call Center). He was our Product Trainer, a crazy one too, and I was on his first batch trainee. I didn't know that he already liked me until a friend of mine kept telling me that "Shaun likes you". In the middle of training period, I got sick and didn't showed up for like 3 nights (I was in 2nd Shift). That's when he started talking to my close friend Cristine, asking a couple of questions about me. Well, of course, I did not beleive either of my friends, I thought they were ganging up on me. Then, on our last session on Mr. Buckner's class, I fell in love (ha-ha)... I mean, just like that! He was giving me this tantalizing look, haha, trying to seduce me I guess. OMG, he's eyes are so beautiful... so blue. That was also our first eye-to-eye contact... (and somebody saw it... it was embarassing) it was like a secret flirting, ha-ha (shit... nakilig naman ako)

Then, we got introduced again in a bar, in casual. The only thing he said to me that night was "Is he your BoyFriend?"...lol. I answered ... "just for tonight"... ha-ha (dang, I can't forget that night). I joined their table for a short while and went back to my friends, he danced with some girl and I just went party drinking. The following week... few of our co-worker and Mr. Buckner named me "Party Animal" That's when me and Shaun started talking... through email first.
He asked me out, we went partying with friends and we fell in love. When he first told me the words "I Love You"... I had doubts 'cause I never knew him that well and I was scared, never dated an american before. But he proved it... and here we are. Married and still in love, though we have ups and downs... we're still here.

3. Very responsible, smart, intelligent, sweet loving husband, butt head, have a very strong personality, full of surprises, very wise, fun person, proactive, opinionated, aggressive, ambitious, goal oriented, big guy w/ big dream and big (ya know*... he-he) I love you babe, hihihi.

4. Plans?... in 20 years? aside from having a happy life, house in Philippines, Resto-Bar, Babies, Condominium, Rest House in Med. Park....

We would love to RETIRE and TRAVEL the WORLD.

I am tagging ALL LADIES WITH A MAN.

What Now?

Changing ourselves is not an easy task. You have to work it hard and prove to yourself that you have actually changed. Don't make promises that you can't keep. Just do it. Promises are made to be broken... its proven fact. No matter what the circumstances are, promises are just words to hold hopes of other people. Why not just do it and quit promising 'cause by the time that everything is different, you'll end up blaming yourself.

Total transformation takes a lot of effort and I wish the people who are in this situation, may they have the strength and will power to reach the top of development and success. Because the more you strive hard the more pain and obstacles you will encounter... so keep it up and hang on there.

I feel like I have not accomplish anything since Shaun left the State. Housekeeping wise... lol. I've been laying down and watching movies and stuff... have you heard the term so-called "Laziness Attack"? he-he. I know I had to get up my big *** and start working, ha-ha. I took a week off so that I can have time to clean around but it didn't turned out that way, so it sucked. And I just got off the phone with my honey baby. Gosh, I miss him so much. It's like every night I wanted to cry, lol. Drama huh?! This is our first time being far apart and we're not used to it. But that's fine, our babies are keeping me busy... chasing them around the house, ha-ha. I'm talking about (Dog and Cats okay... :p).

Do I miss work? - - - Kinda'... but not really.

I Failed on my Driving Test

I set an appointment for my driving test last Thursday, unfortunately my vehicle didn't pass so they did not let me drive.

Reasons are:

1. The tint on my front wind shield was about 2 inch low from the limit. If you check your vehicles, you'll see a mark on each side of your wind shield. Tints must not go below those lines. Mine did.

2. The 3rd break light had a problem, which we didn't noticed. So he asked us to run to Auto Store and have it fixed, so we did. It wasn't major all we did was to change the bulb. Then we came back and told us about the wind shield.

But I think its crazy to hold my test just because the 3rd Break Light was off. The last time I checked it is not a law to have that. Almost 98% of all vehicles does not have it. That's just crazy. Then he told us that the tint on my side windows are too dark... but he don't care for it... unbelievable.

So we went to Stonewall to barrow Misty's car. Her car don't have tint at all so might as well use it. But before we left her house we played "Wii"... very physical yet fun...lol.

Friday at 2 P.M., I took my driving test. And I failed this time. Only because I overlooked at small things when driving in an alley. Shit, it was just an alley... lol. She said that I have to consider it as an highway. She told me I did very well on the rest of test. I need more practice on my parallel parking... I'm not the only one who failed it so that's not a big deal.

It was funny when she (the officer) instructed me to park in front of the blue house, what I did was I drove straight to the drive way, then I stopped. She then asked me... "Is this the front of the Blue house?". So I rushed and said "Oh shit... lol" I thought she's going to fail me there, but she did not. I made her laugh actually, she asked me to hurry up before somebody shoots us, ha-ha. That was pretty hilarious. Hey, at least I made her laugh. She was nice actually... not as was it was described to me.

Tip: Just calm down 'cause if you're nervous you will forget the small maneuver that will save your life.

I cried of course... it was my birthday damn it. LOL.

Anyhow, this was the reason why we didn't go to Dallas. We had to drive back to Stonewall to return Misty's car and we're just an hour away from Oklahoma City.

But last night we went to Sherman Texas, thank goodness we're done shopping for Shaun's hunting gear. We did a little grocery shopping too. Then Chasty called us 'cause they were in Durant. We stopped at a bar and had a beer. Just 1 beer. We were tired and exhausted, all we wanted last night was our bed, lol. We've been traveling all week, I'm still tired.

Anyway, nothing else for me to say right now. We're fixing to go see Shaun's parents. Have their things pack for their Colorado trip. I'm going to miss Shaun... huhu.

iBig 30

First I wanted to thank you all for the birthday greetings, wishes and presents... you guys made me so happy. Shaun and his family took us out to eat. Though I did not plan any party or get together, we still end up drunk in Oklahoma City, lol. It was fun and I was hammered down. I was the first one who passed out.

My morning on my birthday was just like an ordinary day. I woke up, said a little prayer to thank God for the 30 years of blessings and had a cup of coffee. I woke up early so I can set another appointment for my driving test... again. It's a long story and I will share the story on my next post. Let's talk about happy time first, he-he.

Well, not only that I have not planned any party or anything, I told Shaun (very clearly) not to buy me any special gift 'cause I wanted him to save his money for his trip to Colorado next week. But that boy is so hard headed, never listen to me and he's full of surprises. On our way to town yesterday, he stopped at their shop and told me he's just going to pick up something. And there you go... here's what I got.

Apple iPhone

I cried and he had teary eyes when he saw me crying. I was surprised. I thought it was a jewelry or something but it was more than I thought. I was really happy and was so excited. But not with my incoming monthly bill, haha. But I love it. He even want to have one for himslelf, lol. iPhone is so cool. Its crazy, last year he bought me PDA iPaq on my 29th birthday. iPod Nano 2nd Gen on Christmas and now iPhone. So what should I do with my PDA and iPod Nano? I don't know yet, lol. This is crazy... sorry guys iPhone just got me so excited. To my close friends and family, just send me PM in case you want my new number.

Anyway, I had a great time. And we're not done yet, we're fixing to go to Sherman to get Shaun's hunting gear for next week and I will go to the mall to get something for myself, he he. By the way, I'll be out of the office the whole week next week so I'll be blogging everyday, he-he

Have a good one guys.

Update on ZiZteRs In~FaShioN

As some of you know, we started an online fashion business (PRE-ORDERS) thru Multiply a few months back. I guess you have noticed na nawala nalang ng bigla. There are a couple of reasons why we temporarily quit selling. Here's what happened...

We went pretty good when we started, we had orders and we have shipped a couple of items already and satisfied the customers. As we get more orders, we went ahead and looked for more suppliers. Of course, as a seller, you had to look for better pricing diba? so you can put a small mark up din. We found several of them and one of them screwed us up. Sorry but we are not allowed to mention their company name us we are in the process of negotiating refund (like forever na). But anyway, we placed our orders already before we received an email from them stating that they are currently shutting down. Syempre I called and sent an email (several times) to make sure to get a refund. After a long wait, they came back and told us that they will send us the merchandise, I refused to accept and demand for a full refund instead... long wait na kasi like 2-3 months na and I figured our customers in Multiply will refuse na rin. And now we are still waiting. So you think hindi ako victim? Other than that, one of our supplier asked for more Business Information and during that time, we were trying to register for a Tax Id (Sarah was helping me on that too). So I canceled my orders (but no payments from customers were received during Tax ID registration. We were trying to get a Tax ID because most suppliers are B2B... mas safe kasi and sure that they will not just shut down without letting you know first.

Hindi lang 'yan, while dealing with these problems, all of a sudden our account had been deactivated because... as per ADMIN... we are not allowed to use Multiply for selling (making profit daw). Letche... dami na ngang nag bebenta dyan eh. Bakit ZiZteRs pa? So I asked them back kung sino ang nag report and the only thing they've told us was "They are not allowed to give that information". Leche! And come to find out that we're not the only sellers that were shut down by Multiply Admin.

Anyhow, I just want you guys to know in case mabasa nyo ang mga bad feed backs about ZiZteRs In~ FaShioN...that's fine though, we understand their point of view as buyers. Hirap pala ng online business... LOL.

This will not stop us though, we are still going to continue our Website and we will run it after we get done with this FaShioN Drama going on... lol.

Thank you for those who gave us good feedback and hope you're still loving your items. Swerte lang tayo hindi kayo naka timing sa "FULL REFUND" FaShioN Drama-tology.. ha-ha. Thanks guys.

For those waiting for refund... email us at zizters_infashion@yahoo.com
... sige nalang, abuno nalang kami.... hu-hu-hu

Woman Killed by Pack of Dogs

On our way to work this morning, I over heared my Mother in law and her friend talking about an incident that had happened yesterday in Ada, Oklahoma. So I went online to check it out... it's horrible and I feel so sad for the old lady. Freaking dogs... they should kill all fugging pit bulls... they're only good for fighting and killing. Kill those *sunofabeach*
Randy Mitchell

Ada — A woman was mauled to death by several pit bull mixed breed dogs Monday. According to Undersheriff Joe Glover, Rosalie Bivins, 65, was checking her mail on rural County Road 1480 north of SH 3W when she was attacked by five to seven dogs. A rural mail carrier happened upon the scene while the attack was in progress. Glover said when the mail carrier arrived, the lady was lying in the road yelling for help. The carrier got out of his vehicle and attempted to help her when the dogs turned and tried to attack him. The postal worker then drove to a neighbor’s house to ask for help. The neighbor grabbed his gun and the two good Samaritans rushed to the scene, Glover said. When they arrived, there was another man fighting with the dogs. He was bitten on the arm and the leg. The neighbor fired his gun, killing one of the attacking dogs. The rest of the dogs fled. Bivens died before emergency personnel arrived on the scene. Some of the dogs were later shot and their bodies will be sent off to check for rabies.

OU - Potential Champion Once Again

I hate to say this but "WE BEAT MIZZOU". I was in tensed lastnight during the game. My heart was beating so fast, ha-ha, yeah it was weird 'cause I never liked watching Football game before... although I've watched a few games when my father was in Navy. He played football and actually, I don't remember cheering for him 'cause I was busy playing with the ice and the kids around. Mama and her friends did the cheering of course.

But anyway, that's the BIG NEWS..."WE BEAT MIZZOU". Crap my family will kill me, they're Missouri fan just because my father is from Missouri. I love you Pa and Ma... Bros and Sis... I love you... don't hate me okay... its just a game... a BIG Game! he-he.

Sooners Show Up Mizzou, 41-31
Oklahoma hands Tigers first loss of the season Saturday night.
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- A matchup between two of the nation's top passers came down to who could run the ball down the stretch. Chris Brown proved to be the man for Oklahoma.

Brown ran for three second-half touchdowns, Curtis Lofton returned a fumble for a score and the No. 6 Sooners knocked No. 11 Missouri from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 41-31 victory Saturday night.

''The fourth quarter, that's all we preach around here,'' said Brown, Oklahoma's third-leading rusher behind DeMarco Murray and Allen Patrick . ''The difference from this year and last year, we're more of a fourth quarter team. We can go the distance and get the job done.''

Brown put the Sooners (6-1, 2-1 Big 12) ahead to stay with his 1-yard touchdown run with 12:26 remaining, and Lofton scooped up a botched handoff and returned it 15 yards for a score 46 seconds later as Oklahoma kept the Tigers from entering the national title picture.

Brown, who finished with 67 yards on 13 carries, sealed the win with a 23-yard TD run with 2:39 remaining.

''I thought Chris Brown was sensational in the fourth quarter,'' Sooners coach Bob Stoops said. ''Everybody has their opinions on who should be playing. I think Chris showed tonight why he deserves his snaps as well.''

Missouri (5-1, 1-1) had lost 16 straight games in Norman dating back to 1966, but put up a fight in this one.

Quarterback Chase Daniel , who ranks third in the nation in total offense with a 380-yard average, was equally good as a setup man for the Tigers. He delivered key blocks on both touchdown runs by NCAA all-purpose yardage leader Jeremy Maclin , and then pitched the ball to Jimmy Jackson on a 4-yard option run that put Missouri up 24-23 late in the third quarter.
After that, Brown and Oklahoma's running game - which had totaled only 40 yards in the first three quarters - took over. Brown finished the ensuing drive with three rushes for 23 yards and the go-ahead score.

''It just shows a lot about our offensive linemen and our running backs. It just shows that they're willing to go after it for four quarters,'' said Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford , who came in as the nation's top-rated passer. ''I think eventually we may have wore them down a little bit just getting after them, and it just got going in the fourth quarter.''

Daniel botched a handoff to Maclin on Missouri's second play from scrimmage after Brown's score, and it resulted in disaster for the Tigers, looking for their fifth 6-0 start in school history.
''It was just a mix-up,'' Daniel said. ''We can't make those costly turnovers.''

Missouri's next drive fizzled after a 5-yard loss on a reverse and the second sack of the game by Auston English - the Big 12's sack leader - and Daniel threw his second interception of the game to wash away any remaining hope.

''In big games like this, generally the team that makes the fewest mistakes is going to win, and that's what happened,'' Tigers coach Gary Pinkel said. ''With games of this magnitude, mistakes are generally going to dictate how the game is going to come out.''

Daniel still threw for more than 300 yards for the eighth time in his last nine games. He finished with 361 yards on 37-for-47 passing with his only touchdown coming on a 5-yard toss to Martin Rucker with 12 seconds remaining.

The Tigers, who'd had at least 195 yards rushing in their previous four games, managed only 57 with starting running back Tony Temple sidelined by a sprained ankle.

Instead, the Sooners were able to get their ground game going first after Brown finally got in the mix. And who knows how high they'll climb after losses by top-ranked LSU and No. 2 California?
''We know we've got to win every week. We can't worry about what someone else is doing. We've got to worry about winning,'' Brown said.

Bradford completed 24-of-34 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns for Oklahoma, which won its 15th straight home game.

A series of turnovers turned momentum back and forth through the second half.

Missouri was driving for a potential tying score when Maclin lined up at quarterback instead of Daniel and rolled to his right before throwing an interception to Reggie Smith . Oklahoma responded with a 56-yard drive and extended its lead to 23-10 on Brown's first TD run from 4 yards. Garrett Hartley bounced the extra-point try off the left upright.

That left the door open for Missouri to take the lead when Iglesias fumbled for the second time while returning a kickoff following Maclin's second touchdown run.

Jackson converted that takeaway into a score and Jeff Wolfert 's extra point gave the Tigers a brief lead.

Sooners Rumble Past Texas, 28-21

Oklahoma beat Texas, 28-21, at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on Saturday.
DALLAS, Texas (AP) -- Since he's only 19 and was playing just his sixth college game, Oklahoma's Sam Bradford can be excused for thinking he can do things most quarterbacks wouldn't even try.

Like calling an audible on third-and-14 from his own 12 amid the roar of Texas fans. Or going long on third down to a guy who spent the last few series getting treatment for a sore hamstring.
Then again, Bradford is proving to be not-your-ordinary quarterback.

Facing a tough foe in a hostile setting, Bradford looked as comfortable as he did in his record-setting first few games against overmatched opponents, throwing for three touchdowns and hardly making a mistake while steering the No. 10 Sooners past the No. 19 Longhorns 28-21 in their annual grudge match Saturday.

''Sam, for as young as he is, has a lot of confidence and a lot of cool to him,'' Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said. ''He doesn't make too much of a situation. He trusts the guys around him to make plays.'' Bradford, a redshirt freshman, came in as the nation's most efficient passer, but his numbers were piled up against inferior competition. This was his big test, coming off a 1-for-8 second half in a loss at Colorado and center stage in the 102nd meeting between these Red River rivals.

This game was all about survival in the Big 12 race after losses by both teams last weekend put them way behind in the national title chase. Bradford was 21-of-32 for 244 yards, which might not sound great unless you consider the importance of his three touchdown passes - putting OU up 7-0, 14-7 and 28-21. He also completed 12 straight passes between the second and fourth quarters. Most importantly, he was clicking when Oklahoma (5-1, 1-1) really needed it.
''He always tells you, 'Let's get this.' That's his favorite quote,''' receiver Malcolm Kelly said. ''No matter how bad we're getting beat or how we're not getting anything going, his demeanor never changes. He always let's us know we have a chance. And with Sam, you've got a chance.''
Bradford went 5-of-5 on the first scoring drive, with completions of 14, 34, 39 and 41 yards, then a 1-yarder to Jermaine Gresham in the end zone. The 14-yarder came on the audible teammates could barely hear as they were surrounded by screaming fans in burnt orange.
The winning drive began at the 6 after Texas (4-2, 0-2) tied it and Oklahoma's DeMarco Murray picked up the ensuing kickoff at the 2 even though it appeared to be spinning out of bounds. Instead of bemoaning the field position or worrying about a mistake, Bradford came out firing - and coaches trusted him to do so. He went 7-of-8; the only incompletion was a drop and the next snap was a 35-yard touchdown pass to Kelly, who missed most of the third quarter because his right hamstring cramped up. ''I think the coaches did a good job of getting us in good situations,'' Bradford said. ''We had a good plan and when we got out there, things just got rolling.''

The Longhorns, who were ranked seventh before a 20-point loss to Kansas State last weekend, could be in jeopardy of ending a national-best, 114-week stint in the AP poll. A bigger obstacle is being 0-2 in conference play - plus the embarrassment of having such a stumbling start for the first time since 1956, the year before Darrell Royal arrived. It didn't have to happen. Texas had four possessions after Bradford's go-ahead pass to Kelly, but Colt McCoy only got the Longhorns across midfield on two plays. He threw an interception on one, then never even got off the second because of a false start. ''We just couldn't finish,'' said Jermichael Finley , who had four catches for 149 yards, the most ever for a Texas tight end. He had gains of 55 and 58 yards that set up Texas' first two touchdowns, the first going to Jordan Shipley and the second TD to Finley, putting the Longhorns ahead 14-7. ''We've just got to look over this and keep on going, keep on rolling,'' Finley said.

McCoy, who showed signs of a concussion while getting battered last weekend, played with his throwing arm bandaged from mid-forearm to biceps. While his body held up and his stats were pretty good (19-of-26 for 324 yards) this just wasn't his day.

He couldn't even get officials to throw a flag when he was thrown down from his blind side on a play that had been whistled dead. His lone interception went through the hands of running back Jamaal Charles , who also lost a fumble inside the Oklahoma 5 in the third quarter.
Charles apparently forgot the anti-fumbling advice he's been getting from new workout buddy, Texas great Earl Campbell.''I just saw the end zone and was trying to do too much,'' Charles said of his critical fumble. ''I had a good hold on it.''

Murray took over as Oklahoma's featured back after starter Allen Patrick was hurt in the third quarter and had a 65-yard touchdown run, which he got to celebrate on the sideline with former OU star Adrian Peterson , visiting during the Minnesota Vikings' bye week. Murray finished with 128 yards.

Kelly caught five passes for 105 yards and Juaquin Iglesias had 99 yards on six catches. Gresham caught two TD passes.

Charles ran for 79 yards and Vondrell McGee went 1 yard for the Longhorns' final score.

Filipinos Denigrated on ABC's Desperate Housewives

Hi guys, lastnight I left a comment on one of my online buddies' blog regarding this issue and this morning I received a forwarded email (see below). I never watched Desperate Housewives... why would watch it anyway? (*just my thing*)

Dear Kababayan and Allies:

I heard through the grapevine about a remark made on an episode of "Desperate Housewives" last night. The scene entailed Teri Hatcher's character (Susan) at a hospital,??being told by her gynecologist that she might be hitting menopause. Susan replied, "Can I just check those diplomas because I just want to make sure that they are not from some med school in the Philippines."??If you go to
abc.com , you watch the full episode and witness the scene at about 18:50 minutes into the episode.

This type of derogatory remark is not only unnecessary and hurtful, but is also unfounded, considering the presence of Filipinos and Filipino Americans in the health care industry. Filipinos are the second largest immigrant population in the United States, with many
entering the U.S. and passing their U.S. licensing boards as doctors, nurses, and medical technicians. In fact, the Philippines produces more U.S. nurses than any other country in the world. So, to belittle the education, experience, or value of Filipino Americans in health
care is disrespectful and plain and simply ignorant.

As Filipino Americans, we need to band together to ensure that this type of hateful message is not allowed to continue on our television and radio airwaves. Given the recent amounts of media attention that has been given to Michael Richards (against African Americans), Isaiah
Washington (against gays), and Rosie O'Donnell (against Asian/ Chinese Americans), it is ridiculous that this type of hateful speech made it through various screenwriters, the show's producers, the show's actors, and ABC itself. Yet, this isn't the first time that negative
remarks have been made about the Philippines or Filipinos in the past.

In recent years, we've heard one too many "dogeater" comments by "comedian" Joan Rivers on the red carpet or in her standup act, and I believe that it is about time that we stand up for ourselves, so that this type of hateful speech never happens again.

Please join me in expressing your concern, disappointment, and/or disgust to the producers of ABC.com.?? You can sign the petition at

http://www.petitiononline.com/FilABC/ or you can reach them directly
abc7@abc.com.

And please feel free to forward this widely to other Filipinos/Filipino Americans/ Asian Americans/ and other allies.

Sincerely,

Kevin Nadal,

Best Time To Travel

I've been working too hard lately and I thought maybe I should take a break. So I started to think and search for a place to travel. A friend of mine suggested UK in London , Manchester and Birmingham. Who does not want to see these gorgeous places? Very historical look... I just love it.

Now it's time to look for a good deal trip. While looking up online, I found a site that has the best deal "Cheaper Than Hotels" They offers last minute and year round accommodation with free inclusions at prices often less than directly at the hotel , hostels or serviced apartments.

Who wants to visit
Britain? I do - I do! Visit http://www.visitbritain.com/ and you'll find what you really need... customer satisfaction is their business!

Skin Type Solutions

I read this earlier and thought to post it here so you guys can read it too, especially those who loves their skin.

In recent years, the medical community has grown increasingly aware of the effect stress has on health - from the toll it can take on your heart, for example, to its role in weight gain. Well guess what: Stress can do a number on your skin, too!

When you feel stress, your body's level of cortisol (a.k.a. stress hormone) goes up, which can raise your blood sugar. Higher blood sugar levels are, in turn, associated with increased skin aging, as sugar molecules attack your skin's collagen and elastin.

Acne can also result from high blood sugar levels. Your levels of epinephrine (a.k.a. adrenaline) also rise when you're in stressful situations. That particular hormone is associated with decreased blood flow to the skin, which can make your complexion appear dull and give you dark circles under the eyes.

Moreover, studies have shown that together, these hormonal changes impair your skin barrier - that is, the layer of fatty acids that protect you from outside irritants and help your skin hold onto moisture.

As a result, you may experience dry skin, redness, and inflammation, or increased susceptibility to rashes and allergic reactions.

Of course, it's probably not feasible to quit your job or cut back on your family responsibilities, but there are things that you can do to minimize the toll that day-to-day stress takes on your complexion:

Get enough shut-eye: You need at least seven hours of sleep a night to regulate cortisol levels. (Also, try to avoid substituting caffeine and other stimulants for sleep.)

Eat right: A balanced diet, low in sugar, will help regulate the increased sugar levels stress can cause. And remember, sugar isn't found only in candy - refined carbohydrates and potatoes, for example, are quickly converted to sugar after you eat them.

Reduce inflammation: If your skin becomes red or inflamed, look for soothing ingredients like chamomile, fever few, sulfur, and salicylic acid. Omega-3 fatty acids, available in supplements and through your diet, can also help bolster your skin barrier and prevent irritation.

Make time for yourself: Exercise, meditation, and deep breathing have all been shown to reduce stress. The scent of lavender can also slow brain waves and calm the mind - time to draw yourself a bubble bath or invest in some fragrant hand lotion!

The Puppet Show

You guys must watch this video. How I wish I can do something like this... pretty cool. Hope you like it.

So did you enjoyed the show? hope you did and I hope you all had a great day today. It's almost weekend again and we'll get to see Mike and Tarina on Saturday to play HALO 3. Shaun can stay up all night to play that game. He waited for that for a long time and as soon as it came out to the stores, he immediately go it. It's a fun game and it's the type of game that I love to play. Anyway, are you guys excited for Halloween? I'm not... but I'm ready to decorate and suit up, he-he.

Scorpions

I got up at 1:00 a.m. this morning, thirsty as dehydrated. After 3 glasses of icy cold water, I couldn't get myself sleep, so I stayed up and got online... and here we go... (very neat). Click the Title to get yours too.

Your element: Water
Your ruling planets: Pluto
Symbol: The Scorpion
Your stone: Topaz

Life Pursuit: To survive against all opposition
Vibration: Resilient
Scorpio's Secret Desire: To triumph

Description:
Reputed to be the "most powerful" sign of the zodiac, Scorpios lead fate filled lives and have intense and dramatic personal relationships. Even as children Scorpios are often found to be wise beyond their years. Many astrologers call this the sign of the "oldest souls". Old and wise beyond the average, Scorpios often know all the answers, except sometimes; they too often have difficulty finding what they need to develop their own happiness.

Passion, desire and power go hand in hand for Scorpios. Their biggest challenge and test in life is choosing between the power of love and the love of power. Coming to grips with their extraordinary emotional depths and sensitivity isn't easy for those around them. They are different from all other zodiac signs and this difference has them walking, working and loving to a different beat. Others can often live with a Scorpio partner for years, but not really know them. Much to do with a Scorpio remains ever secret. Their eyes often blaze with feelings that words never express, and beware on the days or nights they hide their feelings behind dark glasses, there is likely to be a storm of some kind brewing. When you deal with a Scorpio you have to always deal with them on a psychic intuitive level. They often wear a mask. Too often they say "no" when they really mean "yes". They have contrary natures. Once they find true love they can be the most faithful dedicated of all partners but fall out badly with a Scorpio and you are likely to find they will never forget or forgive.

Most Scorpios are winners. The main thing they have to worry about is their attitudes, which make up their mind powers and can either make or break them. When they are negative about something or someone, or critical of themselves, they can tend to get in their own way.

Scorpios operate on three levels of soul evolvement; adding up to three distinctively different types of Scorpios. The first level is the Scorpion. This is the least evolved and most drawn toward using their powers the wrong way. The criminal element of Scorpio comes under this level. Then there is the eagle - the highflying, entrepreneurial, successful Scorpio, who seems able to rise above adversity and transform bad-times into good. Then the highest expression of this sign is the Phoenix Resurrected. These Scorpios are detached and extremely powerful. They are wise beyond their years and act as leaders and are an inspiration to others. Quite frequently a Scorpio goes through the three levels of evolvement in one lifetime - but the levels can operate out of sequence.

If you were born on the first or last day of a Sun sign, in astrological terms you were born on a cusp. If that's the case, you will probably benefit from reading your own Sun sign and the Sun sign that ends or begins right before or after your date of birth. For example, if your birth date is 22 December, your Sun sign is Capricorn, but you probably have some Sagittarian traits as well .
